Hitkari Productions and Creations takes immense pride in conceptualizing and bringing to life the inaugural event of Arunachal GI Mahotsav 2025, a note-worthy celebration of the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh. Held from February 28 to March 2, 2025, at Select City Walk in Saket, New Delhi, this three-day festival emphasized the state's exceptional Geographical Indication (GI) products, providing an immersive experience of Arunachali traditions, arts, and novelties.
The festival's agenda was thoughtfully curated to offer attendees an immersive experience of Arunachal Pradesh's traditions and innovations. The opening ceremony featured a welcome address by the Hon'ble Minister of Tourism, Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Pasang Dorjee Sona, followed by lighting the lamp and a demonstration of the state's GI products. A highlight was the release of the Arunachal GI Brochure, providing insights into the state's exclusive offerings. The evening culminated with "The Symphony of Arunachal," a curated performance by the Tani Daughters, and a cultural night featuring the Namsai Cultural Group and artist Taba Chake.
Throughout the festival, stalls were open from 11 AM to 10 PM, providing a varied range of Arunachali cuisines and products. Cultural shows in the evenings comprised performances by Aji Lhamu, Snow Lion, and Dobom Doji and the Collective, offering attendees with true cultural experiences.
The closing ceremony on March 2 began with the arrival of dignitaries, including Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Chief Minister Pema Khandu. The event included the distribution of certificates to GI participants, performances by the Memba Cultural Troupe and Ollo Log Drummers, and a closing act by Rito Riba. The festival successfully emphasized Arunachal Pradesh's assurance to protecting its cultural identity while helping economic growth through the acknowledgement of its native products.
